New Features

API

  • Events for Gate Modification: Automatically generated events now track all changes to gate assignments, including when a gate number is assigned, updated, or removed from a flight, ensuring accurate and up-to-date operational visibility.

DCS

  • Flight Closure Restriction for Unhandled Passengers: A new business rule has been introduced to prevent flight closure if there are any unboarded or no-show passengers. This ensures all passenger statuses are resolved before finalizing flight operations, enhancing accuracy and compliance.

  • Enhanced Audible Feedback for Boarding Scans: The boarding process now features distinct audible alerts to provide immediate feedback when scanning passenger barcodes. Different sounds indicate successful boarding, errors (such as APIS failures, pending payments, or data mismatches), and warnings (such as unassigned seats or passengers traveling with infants). This enhancement, configurable via a business rule, improves operational efficiency and streamlines the boarding process by enabling staff to quickly identify and address issues in real-time.

  • Boarding Pass Issuance for Standby Passengers: Airlines can now issue boarding passes for standby passengers, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in managing last-minute seat allocations. This enhancement streamlines the boarding process and improves the passenger experience by ensuring standby travelers receive proper documentation once confirmed for a flight.

  • APIS Status Column in DCS Manifest Report: A new APIS column has been added to the DCS Manifest Report, providing clear visibility into each passenger's compliance status. This enhancement enables recipients to quickly assess APIS completion and take appropriate action as needed, ensuring smoother regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

GDS / Interline

  • BTM Message Support for Thru Baggage Agreements: The system now facilitates the sending and receiving of inbound and outbound BTM (Baggage Transfer Message)communications for carriers with Thru Baggage agreements. This enhancement streamlines baggage transfers between partner airlines, ensuring seamless handling, reducing delays, and improving overall processing efficiency.

  • Preferred Carrier Search for Interline Segments: Users can now select a preferred carrier when adding interline segments and sort available options by departure time, total travel duration, or number of connections. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and efficiency in booking interline travel, ensuring optimized route selection based on passenger preferences and operational needs.

  • Automatic Resending of SSR DOCS to Partner Carriers on Passenger Updates: For interline reservations, the system now automatically resends SSR DOCS to the partner carrier whenever key passenger details—such as passport information, date of birth (DOB), name, or gender—are updated in the passenger record or APIS. This enhancement ensures partner carriers have the most current passenger information, improving compliance, reducing errors, and enhancing the overall travel experience.

  • Enhanced Ticket Exchange for Interline Re-routing: The system now ensures that all ticket coupons are correctly exchanged when modifying interline ticket routes. This improvement aligns with industry standards and ticketing regulations, enhancing accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency in interline travel management.

RES

  • Fare Class-Level Restrictions for Name and Segment Changes: Airlines can now implement restrictions at the fare class level to prevent name changes, segment modifications, and cancellations. These restrictions can be easily configured via new checkboxes in the Fare Class setup screen and are enforced across both ameliaRES and the API. To provide operational flexibility, a dedicated business rule has been introduced to activate this feature, along with new user permissions—Name Change Restriction Override, Segment Change Restriction Override, and Segment Cancel Restriction Override—allowing authorized personnel to override restrictions when necessary. This enhancement enables airlines to enforce fare rules more effectively, ensuring compliance with pricing policies while improving operational control and efficiency.

  • Enhanced Ancillary Flexible Pricing by Sale and Travel Date: Ancillary Flexible Pricing now allows airlines to set pricing based on both sale date and travel date, providing greater flexibility and customization. This enhancement enables airlines to define specific pricing structures for ancillary items within designated booking and travel periods, ensuring optimized revenue management and better alignment with seasonal demand and promotional strategies.

  • Enhanced Multi-Select Filters for Cancellation/Modification Charges: Users can now select multiple options per filter—such as Agencies, Booking Codes, and Fare Classes—when adding new Cancellation/Modification Charges, replacing the previous single-selection limitation. This enhancement improves efficiency by allowing bulk selections within each filter, streamlining the charge setup process. Additionally, users can review all selected charges before finalizing them, ensuring accuracy. This feature is enabled through a configurable business rule, providing greater flexibility and control.

  • Enhanced Passenger Notifications for Alerts: A new "Include Res Contact" checkbox has been added to the Notification popup on the Alerts screen, allowing users to send alerts via email or SMS to the reservation contact when their details differ from the passenger’s contact information. This enhancement ensures that both passengers and travel coordinators stay informed, improving communication and ensuring timely updates for all relevant parties.

  • Enhanced Inventory Setup Interface with Fare Family Descriptions: The Inventory Setup screen now includes a new Fare Family Description column in the Fare Class grid, providing greater clarity on the relationship between fare classes and fare families. The column label can be customized via a business rule, allowing airlines to tailor the display to their specific terminology. This enhancement improves transparency and helps users easily identify and manage fare class associations.

  • Enhanced Voucher Tracking in Res Audit: The Res Audit feature now logs all voucher issuances made from the Check-in screen, providing enhanced visibility and traceability. This improvement ensures better tracking, accountability, and operational oversight, allowing airlines to monitor voucher distribution with greater accuracy and compliance.

  • Enhanced Bulk Move Tracking Report: The Bulk Move Tracking web report now includes a new Reservation Booking Date column, offering improved visibility into when reservations were originally made. This enhancement provides deeper insights and enables more efficient tracking and management of bulk moves, ensuring better operational oversight.

  • New Time Zone Parameter for Escrow Payments Report: The Escrow Payments Report now includes a Time Zone parameter, allowing users to adjust report values based on their selected time zone. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and ensures more accurate reporting, aligning data with the preferred regional context for improved financial tracking and analysis.

SOAR

  • Enhanced Flight Search Experience in SOAR: SOAR now offers improved Sort and Filter controls, providing users with greater flexibility and customization when searching for flights. The enhanced filters allow customers to refine search results by connections, price, and duration using intuitive sliders, while sorting options enable results to be arranged by departure time, arrival time, number of connections, duration, or price. These enhancements make it easier for customers to find flights that best match their preferences, delivering a more seamless and personalized booking experience.

  • Mid-Booking Frequent Flyer Enrollment: Passengers can now seamlessly create a frequent flyer account during the booking process on the SOAR web platform. This feature is available for the primary passenger on a reservation, allowing for instant sign-up without disrupting the booking flow. Upon successful registration, the passenger is automatically logged into their new account, ensuring a smooth and integrated experience that enhances convenience and encourages loyalty program participation.

  • Undo Check-in Feature in SOAR App: The SOAR app now includes the ability to undo passenger check-in, providing greater flexibility and control over the check-in process. This enhancement allows users to quickly rectify check-in errors or accommodate last-minute changes, ensuring a smoother travel experience for both passengers and airline staff.

TICKETS

  • ‘E-Ticketable’ Flag for Individual Flights: The system now supports the ability to mark individual flights as e-ticketable, offering airlines greater flexibility and control over their ticketing processes.

44957/45139 / AMELIA-29056

A fix has been implemented to prevent segments from being marked with an OPEN status when no fare availability exists. This resolves the issue where modification charges could not be applied due to the OPEN status.

42576/ AMELIA-29482

The Bulk Itinerary Generator issue causing redundant emails to the Reservation Contact when "All Passengers" was selected has been fixed. Now, selecting "All Passengers" ensures one email per passenger with a valid email address. If both "All Passengers" and "Include Res Contacts" are selected, each passenger receives one email, and the Reservation Contact receives one email per passenger.
