Initial Setup and Configuration

Creating Google Analytics account

If you don't already have a Google Analytics account, click here for instructions on how to create one.

Once you have created your account and property, note the Google Analytics ID as it will be needed later (a Google Analytics ID looks like this: UA-########-1)

Configuring Google Analytics account/web property

Click here for steps on how to enable Enhanced Ecommerce for Google Analytics, which is required for the IBE Analytics to work.

Creating Google Tag Manger (GTM) account

If you don't already have a Google Tag Manager account, click here for instructions on how to create one.

Once you have created your account and container, note the Google Tag Manager ID as it will be needed later (a GTM ID looks like this: GTM-XXXXX)

Configuring Google Tag Manger (GTM) account/tag

  1. Login to your Google Tag Manager account.
  2. If you have more than one account, select the account that will be used for tracking IBE Analytics.
  3. Click on New Tag, the Product should be "Google Analytics", the Tag Type should be "Universal Analytics"
  4. In the Configure Tag section, Tracking ID should be your Google Analytics ID (a Google Analytics ID looks like this: UA-########-1)
  5. The Track Type should be "Page View"
  6. Under More Settings > Ecommerce Features, put a checkmark for Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Features
  7. In the Fire On section, select "All Pages"
  8. Click Create Tag
  9. In the top-right corner of the page, click Publish
