Transport Canada (TC) Regulations concerning what air carriers must submit (via ECATS) have changed.

In addition to what we have been providing, the following fields have been added:

  • Route origin airport
  • Route destination airport
  • Aircraft tail/registration number
  • Leg number (of flight leg within overall route)
  • Number of luggage pieces
  • Weight of luggage
  • Max payload weight (basically how much weight in pax and cargo the flight is permitted to take)
  • Weight unit used (defaulted to "I" for Imperial)
  • Charter type (applicable for charter flights - defaulted to DC)
  • Enplaned mail (ignore)
  • In transit mail (ignore)
  • Deplaned mail (ignore)
  • In transit mail (ignore)
  • Enplaned non-revenue passengers
  • In transit non-revenue passengers (coming from previous flight leg)
  • Deplaned non-revenue passengers
  • In transit non-revenue passengers (going onwards)

There is also the requirement that every leg of the flights coming to or departing from Canada must be submitted, and not solely the portion touching Canada.
