24.10 Release Notes

New Features

API

  • Edit Fare: You can now modify a reservation’s fare using the endpoint PUT /reservations/{key}/charges/{key}. This enhancement allows API users to update the fare of a reservation even after it has been confirmed.

DCS

  • Boarding Pass Scanning - Seat Number Verification: The boarding pass scanning feature now includes seat number verification, which is influenced by the Strict Boarding setting and the flight’s Boarding Mode. This enhancement checks the seat number on the boarding pass against the seat assigned in ameliaRES. If discrepancies are detected, a clear notification prompts the agent to reprint a new boarding pass for the passenger before boarding.

  • Loyalty Tier on Boarding Pass: Loyalty tiers have now been integrated into all boarding pass types (e.g., CUTE, OCI) for airlines that utilize a loyalty program.

GDS / Interline

  • Interactive ADL - Triggered by Reservation Changes: The system now triggers an ADL for various reservation events, including name changes, cancellations, ancillary purchases, and SSR code additions. This enhancement ensures real-time updates for all reservation modifications, improving accuracy and minimizing delays.

  • EMD Associated Documents: amelia EMDs for GDS bookings can now include the associated GDS ticket as a linked document. This enhancement aids in accounting reconciliation by providing better documentation.

  • Processing ARNK Segments in Inbound GDS Messages: The system now supports the automatic processing of inbound GDS messages that contain ARNK segments. With this enhancement, ARNK segments are automatically disregarded, enabling seamless message processing without the need for manual modifications.

  • Marketing Flight Information Included in PNL Messages: PNL messages now include the marketing flight information element. This enhancement offers the receiving system more detailed insights, particularly regarding codeshare flights.

  • Send ASC from Routes and Flight Management: When a flight or leg is canceled in the Routes and Flight Management module, the system now prompts users for passenger reprotection and can send an ASC if selected. Additionally, users can enter a schedule change reason to notify agents.

  • Split Messages for PNRs: The system now supports split messages (DVD) for group PNRs.

  • Improved Process of Inbound Passenger API Information: The inbound IATCI process now accepts the latest APIS data, if included in the message.

RES

  • Expired Credit Feature Enhancement: Several updates have been made to improve the Expired Credit feature:

    • Expired Credit Manager Interface: The interface has been updated to offer greater flexibility in searching and filtering credits. You can now filter by criteria such as reservation number, expiry date range, and negative credits. To enhance performance, the number of records per query can be limited. Additionally, new columns for Booking Date and Balance have been added for improved visibility.

    • Reservation Interface: The credit expiry date is now displayed on the Reservation screen if the reservation has an outstanding balance.

    • Credit Expiry Date Calculation: The credit expiry date is recalculated more accurately, based on either the booking date or the last financial date (configurable via business rule), along with the expiration period set for the reservation.

    • Res Audit: Actions related to expired credits are now included in the Res Audit.

  • Configurable Markup Tax: The tax applied to the markup can now be configured to either inherit the tax settings of the associated charge or follow the reservation’s tax configuration. The method used is configurable via business rule.

  • User Notes with Special Characters: The Notes field on the User screen now supports free-text input, allowing users to include both standard and special characters.

  • New Custom Accounting Daily Sales Report: The new web report is now available and can be filtered by agency. It provides a comprehensive range of detailed information, including passenger names, booking dates, flight numbers, flight dates, ticket fares, taxes, commission amounts, and net revenue for each sale. This report will help track agents' daily sales performance over a specified date range.

  • Updated Daily Flown Revenue Report: A new version of the Daily Flown Revenue Report has been developed, providing enhanced insights into revenue from completed flights. It now displays detailed fare information, all additional charges, and agency details, allowing better tracking of total daily income from flown passengers by agent.

  • Updated Flight Revenue Breakdown Report: The Flight Revenue Breakdown web report now includes two new fields that indicate the booking and check-in statuses.

SOAR

  • Request Payment in SOAR agent Web: In SOAR agent, the user can now request payment from a customer after completing action(s) on a booking (create/modify) by sending a notification email that includes a payment deep link.

  • OCI Passenger Requests: During online check-in, SOAR app and web can automatically add a Passengers Request to the applicable PNR.

TICKETS

  • Issuance of Ticket Coupons Against Airport Codes With Numeric Characters: amelia has been enhanced to offer greater flexibility by permitting ticket issuance for airport codes that are not IATA-compliant, such as those containing numeric characters.

  • Show All Locators On Ticket Display Screen: The Ticket Details screen now shows the amelia locator alongside any available external locators from partner systems or carriers.
