Citrix Connection Error Local Site Testing
Citrix Connection Error Local Site Testing
Problem
"Cannot Connect to the Citrix Xen App Server . There is no Citrix XenApp server configured on the specified address."
Solution
It is important to ensure that the proper network connectivity has been granted before any troubleshooting of software issues related to citrix connection issues are checked .
For Citrix Training Access
- Coach user to open a command prompt with elevated permissions using the start > run and typing "cmd" . Or , using the windows search and searching for " command prompt" , right click , " run as administrator"
- From the command prompt, type " telnet 199.59.133.129 1494" ( without the quotes )
- The expected result is "ICA" in the top corner
- If the expected result is not achieved , first attempt to disable any security software . Otherwise, refer the issue to their local network administrator .
For Citrix Production Access
- Repeat steps 1 through 6 above , replace command in line 2 with production ip 199.59.133.135 " telnet 199.59.133.135 1494" ( without the quotes )
Note:
Citrix now uses port 443 TCP and IP can be found by using ping or nslookup for portal.intelisys.ca (probably in range 199.59.133.129 - 199.59.133.158). This is important if you require to add rules on your edge device for the Citrix connection.
