SSR Consolidation
ameliaRES previously supported IATA-standard SSR codes in two (2) separate areas:
Passenger Request Definitions, which are requests that can be added to Passengers via the Passenger List (on the Requests tab).
and there is another list (database table) used to associate a code with Ancillary Items Definition and Allocation. Note that there is NO user interface to add codes to this list.
In the 17.08 release of amelia, we have consolidated these lists of SSR codes into one (1). This will effectively make all of your existing SSR codes (including those only used for Ancillary Items) available on the Passenger Request Definitions form (accessed via Utilities -> Passenger Request Definitions).

And, they will all be available for selection on the Passenger List, on the Requests tab. A soft-seek function has been added to the listbox.

When working with Ancillary Items Definitions (accessed via Utilities -> [Ancillary Items] -> [Ancillary Items] Definitions), all SSR codes will be available for association with these items via the IATA SSR Code field. A soft-seek function has been added to the listbox.

The added value behind this is that it gives you more control over SSR codes. You’ll no longer be required to wait for InteliSys staff to add requests/codes in the database. You may need to pay extra attention to setup (to avoid using incorrect codes, which could lead to confusion), but the net impact should be positive.
