(feature) Fare Families - Inventory Screen

Fare Families give your airline the ability to brand fares and simplify the reservation process. All of your fares will be grouped into 1 of 3 customizable categories / families.

NOTE: Please contact your client manager to enable this feature - some configuration changes are required.

• Simplify your visible fare structure.

• Name the Fare Families to suit your branding strategy.

Administration

The Fare Families are named Restricted, Unrestricted, and Seat Sale by default. The names can be changed to meet your branding needs, by request through your client manager.

[Restricted] Family

To assign a Fare Class to the [Restricted] family, select it and click the Edit button on the Inventory Setup screen. On the Fare Class screen, select Upgrade Required from the Restrictions listbox and click Save. The Category Status becomes [Restricted] Fare.

[Unrestricted] Family

To assign a Fare Class to the [Unrestricted] family, select it and click the Edit button on the Inventory Setup screen. On the Fare Class screen, select No Restriction from the Restrictions listbox and click Save. The Category Status becomes [Unrestricted] Fare.

[Seat Sale] Family

To assign a Fare Class to the [Seat Sale] family, select it and click the Edit button on the Inventory Setup screen. On the Fare Class screen, select the Seat Sale checkbox (turn it ON) and click Save. The Category Status becomes [Seat Sale] Fare.

When Fare Families are enabled, the Fare Class Selection screen will look like this:
