Zebra Printer Troubleshooting

These steps must be followed to troubleshoot a Zebra printer for ameliaRES Baggage Tags and Boarding Pass printing.

AmeliaRES Printer Setup

1 - From Operations > Check In , hold the ctrl + shift key + F5 , or the  ctrl + shift and select 'f5 - printer setup' (Also seen where the printer is not showing in AmeliaRES until the user goes to Control Panel and makes the printer the default printer). In the 'Print Setup' dialog box, select the Zebra printer for your boarding passes and baggage tags in the corresponding drop down menus depicted below. If the light is solid green on the zebra printer, you may try a test print now using the 'Boarding Pass' and 'Baggage' buttons to the right in the Check In interface. If you fail to print, or the Zebra's light is NOT solid green, proceed to the section below titled 'Zebra Printing Setup'.

Zebra Printer Calibration

1 - Load the stock into the Zebra, hold down the feed button, wait for the light to flash four times (flash (1) , flash - flash (2), flash - flash - flash (3), flash- flash-flash-flash (4)), then release. This will calibrate the stock by running through a few cards in the feed. It should then stop on a perforated edge. If it does NOT, turn the power OFF (switch in back), then line the baggage tag edge up manually to the lip of the printer and switch the power back ON and repeat the 4 flash sequence again.  Log into ameliaRES and try a test print.

2 - Verify the printer has a solid green light and says "ready to print". ("ready to print" applies to models with an LCD screen ONLY).

Important

Under the Advanced tab, click on Printing Defaults and change the same settings that are above. Printing Preferences and Printing Defaults must be set to the same exact settings.
