Seat Reassignment - Reassign Seats Tool
This process will be used in an IROP situation when a different aircraft model is substituted on a flight and customer seats need to be reassigned.
Step-by-step guide
Aircraft model swap – Seat reassignment
NOTE: This must be done flight by flight through the Flight Management screen.
Select the flight that needs to have the new seat chart / aircraft model attached.
Double-click on the flight to open the Flight Scheduling window.
Click on the top Edit button.
In the A/C Model drop down box, select the new aircraft model.
Click OK.
Note that the ROUTE has now been “broken”, so any updates to the Route in Route Management will NOT be reflected on this flight.
Click Save.
This will now open the Seat Allocations Window.
Click Apply Template.
The Apply Template window will display and prompt you to apply a new template. Remember to select Overwrite Existing.
Select the new template and click Apply.
A second pop-up will appear – Assign Template.
Click Yes.
The Seat Selection Tool will appear; one for each leg of the flight. If it were a one leg flight, only one screen would appear.
- Customer name and the OLD seat number
- The new seat number needing to be selected
- The seat map of the NEW seat map
- The flight and leg you are working on
Highlight the customer and then click the seat required. The seat number will appear in the New Seats column.
NOTE:
Line up the two windows, side by side.
Customer AKER, ELLEN is on both screens. She is travelling from YEG through YKA to YYJ. You MUST ensure that you select the same seat on both legs.
Once you have completed the re-seating, click Save and the procedure is complete.
