When Re-routing baggage, it disappears from the baggage screen
Problem
When a piece of baggage has been re-routed, it disappears from the baggage screen. But the baggage icon and number of bags stays.
Solution
When the above happens, there is no need to worry. When baggage has been re-routed from a flight, it DOES disappear from the baggage screen. This is because it is no longer on the original flight. Moving a piece of baggage is similar to moving a passenger. If you moved a passenger to a new flight, they would not still appear on their old flight. This is the same with baggage.
However, even after you have moved the baggage, the Baggage Icon still appears. This is because the passenger still has 5 bags, they just aren't on this flight. You will also notice that the moved bags no longer apply to the total bag count or weight on the original flight, this is also correct.
As you can see in the example below, this pax has no bags in the baggage screen. But the icon in the bottom right corner has a number of 5.
If you need to find baggage that has been moved to another flight as Cargo only, follow the steps below.
1.) Navigate to Operations > Find Baggage
2.) Once the find baggage screen is open, input the bar code number of the bag you wish to find and click the Search Button.
3.) The Baggage info will populate the screen. Below I have searched the passengers baggage. It shows me the Pax Name, total Weight of the bag, departure city, arrival city, res number, loc or location of where the bag is currently. Then it shows you the flight information in the box below, which gives you the full routing of the bag.
