Loyalty Tiers - User Guide

Tier Configuration

There is currently no UI (User Interface) for adding or changing Loyalty Tiers. Please contact your Account Manager to have these set up to meet your needs.

The tiers themselves could be something like: Bronze = 0-999, Silver = 1000-4999, Gold = 5000+ points.

Tier Assignment

Initially, all existing and new Loyalty program members (User Profiles) will be assigned to the lowest Tier. To view an individual member’s Tier, open the User Profiles form (Utilities -> User Profiles), and search/find the member. Once a User Profile is found and selected, you can click the Tier button (on the [Loyalty] tab - please note that this text will match the name of your Loyalty Program) to change the Tier for the selected member, and click Save.

It’s also possible to select and update the Tier for several members simultaneously (in bulk). This is done on the Loyalty Admin form (Utilities -> Loyalty Admin). Select appropriate search criteria (for example, members who have 0 or more points over the last year) and click Search.

In the search results, select as many members as desired using the checkboxes (in the Loyalty ID column) - you may select or deselect all listed members using the checkbox in the first row - and select the new Tier (Change Tier to: listbox), then click Apply.

Example usage scenarios:

a. To find all members who have accumulated enough points for the top tier (5000, in our example):

  • Date Range = All or Custom
  • Tier = All
  • Accumulated Points = Greater Than Or Equal To 4999
  • Click Search.
  • Select applicable members using provided checkboxes.
  • Change Tier to = Gold, and click Apply.

b. To find all members who should be downgraded to the bottom tier (less than 1000 points, in our example):

  • Date Range = Last 30 Days or Last Year
  • Tier = All
  • Accumulated Points = Less Than Or Equal To 999
  • Click Search.
  • Select applicable members using provided checkboxes.
  • Change Tier to =Bronze, and click Apply.

Tier Display

When a member books using their User Profile, they will see the assigned Tier on the Itinerary, on Boarding Passes (whether they are generated from the ameliaRES app or via OCI (online check-in) - NOTE: This has NOT yet been implemented for CUTE systems.), and on Baggage Tags.

There are plans to also display the user’s Tier on the IBE and mobile sites (when logged in), and provide some reporting functionality to members, as well.
