How to Transfer Credits from one res to another

Sometimes a reservation has a remaining balance on it (a negative balance). This balance can be transferred to other reservations to be used as payment. This tutorial will walk you though the steps required to transfer a credit.

Step-by-step guide

Before you can start this tutorial, it assumes the following conditions are met. You must have 2 reservations: one to transfer the credit from, and one to transfer the credit to. The reservation you want to transfer the credit from MUST have a negative balance on it. The reservation you want to transfer money to MUST have a balance owing.

  1. Before you can transfer the credit, ensure you have both the old reservation and the new reservation open. In the old reservation (In my example, this is the reservation for Anakin.) click on '5-Charges'.


  2. Once the Charges window is open, highlight the payment and then click the "T- Transfer Credit" button.


  3. On the transfer credit screen you will see two boxes. The top box is what will populate first. It will have the amount of credit (in negative because it's credit). Between the two boxes there is a "To:" Box. Type the number of the reservation that you want to transfer to in this box and click "Search". In the bottom box, all of the passenger names will appear. Each one has a check box, a balance due amount and the passengers name. Check the box next to the passenger you want to apply this credit to. if there is only 1 passenger, the box will be pre-checked. Below the box, there is an amount box. If you only wish to transfer a portion of the full credit over, you can edit the amount you wish to transfer here. If you want to transfer the full amount, then do not change this number. When you are finished with this screen click "Save".


  4. You will now see in the charges screen that there is an entry showing where the credit was transferred to.


  5. Switch to the other reservation, you will see that that reservation has been paid. If you had both reservations open, you'll have to refresh this reservation. You can do this by closing and re-opening the reservation.
