How to Re-activate Inactive Flight

Occasionally, a flight can be set to Inactive and may need to be activated again. This tutorial will guide you through the steps of reactivating an inactive flight.

Step-by-step guide

This tutorial assumes you have already logged in to ameliaRES. If you have not done so, it is impossible to proceed without logging in.

  1. Operations > Flight Management > Routes
  2. Look for the flight you want to re-activate in the list of routes. It will appear as an entry with a strike-through on it.

  3. Once you have found the flight, double-click on it to bring up a new window.
  4. Once the flight management window is open, note that on the right hand side there is an Edit button. You will see the "Inactive" right below the button. Click on the Edit button.

  5. The top of the screen will change and you will see a checkbox with the word "Active" beside it. Check this box and then click the OK Button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

  6. The top of the screen will change again. Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You will be prompted with "There are existing flights for this route. Changing this route will change all existing flights. Do you wish to continue?" Click Yes to proceed with reactivation. Clicking No will stop the reactivation of the flight. Once you have done this, the window will disappear.

  7. You will see that our previously struck-through flight has this removed. This means that the flight is now Active.
