Adding a new Fare to an Existing City and Existing Flight or Flights
This can be used as a reference to add a new fare class to an existing city pair with flights already operating.
Step-by-step guide
Steps to add a new fare to an existing flight:
- Open Inventory Setup.
- Ensure the booking code and fare class you want to use are set up.
- Open Fares Setup.
- Select the city pair that you want to add in the new fare.
- Click Add in the fare class section of the screen.
- Select your fare class from the drop-down.
- Set the On Sale From and To dates.
- Set the Travel From and To dates.
- Enter the fare amount and select to 'copy' to the return city pair if the amount is the same.
- Open Seat Allocations.
- Search for one of the flights for that city pair.
- Check to see if the booking code is listed – If not, add the new booking code.
- Ensure there is inventory allocated to the booking code – If not, allocate seats to the booking code.
- Select Roll Forward.
- Enter the date range to apply the new fare allocations to the selected flight.
- Select the Overwrite Existing checkbox.
- Click Roll.
- Repeat steps 10 through 17 for all flights travelling on the city pair selected in Step 4, and also for all flights doing the return of that city pair. (For example, ACY-BNA / BNA-ACY.)
