amelia Alerts (how-to)
amelia generates an alert when certain conditions occur, the most common of which is a schedule change (departure/arrival times are updated). The threshold for this is 12 minutes by default. Please contact us to configure and/or change alert-related settings.
When accessing Alerts (Operations → Alerts), the Alert Header screen is displayed.
This screen presents each unhandled alert with a count of the total number of reservations affected by the alert, as well as a count of how many of those reservations were created via a GDS.
Alerts can now be organized into categories to help filter the alerts shown. What categories are needed/created is at the discretion of the client, as well as what alert types are viewable in each category. To manage this, refer to amelia Alerts - Categorization and contact us to configure the categories and mappings.
Each category can have several alert types mapped to it, and each alert type can be mapped to multiple categories. Selecting a category from the drop-down filters the view to only show the mapped alert types.
To view Alert Details, select a header and click View (or double-click on it).
This screen provides details about each reservation affected by the alert. From here, you can perform several actions, including viewing the reservation and handling (clearing) the alert.
Send ASC
Certain alert types - when affecting reservations made via GDS - may require an 'Advice of Schedule Change' message to be sent to the booking GDS. When the following alert types are selected (either on the header screen or the detail screen), and a GDS reservation is affected by the alert, a 'Send ASC' button will be presented. Clicking this button will initiate an 'Advice of Schedule Change' message to the booking GDS with the appropriate notification.
Alert Type | Notification |
---|---|
Flight Schedule Change | TK for the new scheduled departure and arrival |
Flight Number Has Changed | UN for the old flight number TK for the new flight number |
Flight Has Been Cancelled | UN for the cancelled flight |
Bulk Move
For 'Flight Has Been Cancelled' alerts, a Bulk Move button will also be presented on the Alert Header screen.
Clicking this button will launch the Bulk Move screen for the affected flight, allowing for passengers to be reaccommodated. If any of the reaccommodated passengers were booked via GDS, then the user will be asked if an 'Advice of Schedule Change' message should be sent.

Flight Has Been Cancelled | UN for the cancelled flight TK for the new flight |
