CREW - Day of Operations
Criteria
Access the Day of Operations screen from the Operations -> Crew Rostering -> Day Of Ops menu. The criteria screen allows selection of Position, A/C Type, Base, Time Zone.
These default to:
Position = Captain
A/C Type = first on list
Base = user’s preferences
Time Zone: same as Base
When Continue is selected, date range defaults to current date and displays buttons to view previous day, current day and next day at the top of the screen with the following criteria that can be changed:
When Change Criteria is selected, users are allowed to change the date to anything (not just Previous Day, Current Day or Next Day).
Options menu
All options retain the user's previous selection (from last login). Properties include:
- Hour Interval - 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours, 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, half-hour, 15 minutes
- Row Size - 1, 2, or 3
- Font Size
- Gantt Border - None, Small, Large
- Color Preferences
- Auto Refresh - 30 minutes, 20 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, Off
- Pairing Color - Red, Yellow, Blue, or Green
- Pairing Mode - On or Off
- User Mode - Edit Mode or Read Only
- Flight Mode - On or Off
- Flight Collision Alerts - On or Off
Crew Member List
Contains all active crew in selected position and base specified, who are qualified to fly the A/C type selected. The list is displayed on the left side of the screen.
A radio button allows only crew members working on the selected day to be displayed.
When 'View only crew scheduled' is selected, removes crew that are not scheduled that day. This way when reassigning, you know you are not assigning someone that is off and that you will require to pay overtime.
Identifies crew member who have training events that are expired or are due to expire (within alert).
The name of Crew Members whose training events are expired will be in red.
- The name of Crew Members whose training events are in alarm/alert condition will be in yellow/orange.
If you click on a Crew Member, the following details are displayed in a grey area below the list:

If you double-click a Crew Member, the Rostering (Schedule Editor) screen is displayed for this person ONLY:
Schedule
The right side of the screen displays the crew members’ schedule in non-pairing mode (at leg level). It displays the non-fly events (NFEs), as well.
Messages are displayed (in a dialog box) when assignment or re-assignment causes:
- a Collision (crew member has another event scheduled at this time)
- Regulation Checks (limitations) fail
- a Green on Green situation
If you hover on a flight/leg, the following tooltip information is displayed:
- FLIGHT INFORMATION
- FLIGHT: Flight Number and Departure Date
- DEPARTS: Departure Airport Code and actual Departed Time
- ARRIVES: Arrival Airport Code and actual Arrival Time
- LOCATION: only displayed if Flight is Departed or Arrived. Possible entries: Arrived, Departed.
- DEP DELAY: only displayed if Flight Departure Time is not equal to scheduled Departure Time. Displays minutes delayed. If early, value is negative. If not left yet, delay is still shown.
- ARR DELAY: only displayed if Flight Arrival Time is not equal to scheduled Arrival Time. Displays minutes over scheduled arrival time. If early, value is negative. If not arrived yet, delay is still shown.

If no data, instead show: No information to display.
- CREW INFORMATION
- Displays Positions with assigned Crew. If no assignments, show: No information to display.
- Images
Displayed if flight contains Notes.
Displayed if flight has arrived.
Displayed if flight has departed.
- Displayed if flight is delayed (whether on departure, arrival or both).
If you double-click on a Flight, the Flight Watch screen is displayed:
Right-clicking on a Flight gives a context menu:
- Edit (disabled)
- Reassign
- Unassign
Selecting Reassign displays this screen, where only qualified Crew Members are listed:
- Qualified - ALL qualified Crew Members are listed.
- Free - All qualified crew who are available are listed. This excludes crew with non-flying events or that are scheduled for other flights.
- Reserve (selected by default) - contains all qualified crew that are on reserve.
If you hover on a NFE, a tooltip like this is displayed:

Right-clicking on a NFE gives a context menu:

- Unassign
Selecting Edit gives the same NFE Edit form as above.
Selecting Unassign displays a confirmation dialog:
Bottom-of-screen Functionality
The functions and controls at the bottom of the Day of Ops form are identical to those on the existing Schedule Editor (Rostering screen).
- NFE shortcuts (4 of them) can be configured and used.
- The date can be quickly changed using the green GOTO button.
- NFEs, Pairings, Flights, and Legs can be assigned using the Assign Non Fly, Assign Pairing, Assign Flight, and Assign Leg buttons (and the listbox associated with each).
